Dr. Luis Mastronardi is a board-certified Plastic Surgeon, specialized in facial and periorbital surgery, both aesthetic and reconstructive. His practice focuses on advanced eyelid surgery, blepharoptosis correction, periorbital rejuvenation, and complex periocular reconstruction, with a strong emphasis on anatomy-based decision making, safety, and natural outcomes.

Dr. Luis Mastronardi has regularly received residents and plastic surgeons for clinical observation and academic exchange. Visiting applicants can expect close clinical exposure in facial and periocular surgery, including patient evaluation, surgical planning, intraoperative observation, and postoperative management. Teaching is structured, interactive, and adapted to the visitor’s level of training, with particular attention to surgical anatomy, indications, decision-making algorithms, and complication avoidance. Academic discussion and case-based learning are an integral part of the experience.

Licensure

The visitor must be a senior resident in plastic surgery or a fully trained plastic surgeon.

Salary

The ISAPS Expert program does not provide a salary.

  • Periorbital anatomy and surgical safety
  • Upper and lower blepharoplasty
  • Blepharoptosis surgery (levator advancement, Müller muscle procedures)
  • Periorbital rejuvenation (fat repositioning, lipofilling)
  • Periocular and facial reconstruction
  • Surgical planning, algorithms, and complication management
