Humanitarian Award

Recognizing extraordinary humanitarian and outreach contributions in plastic surgery.

The ISAPS Humanitarian Award recognizes outstanding humanitarian and outreach contributions in plastic surgery. It honors individuals whose work restores dignity, rebuilds lives after trauma, and expands access to high-quality surgical care in underserved communities around the world.

Introduced in 2026, this new award reflects ISAPS’s commitment to recognizing excellence not only in scientific and artistic achievement, but also in compassion, integrity, and global responsibility. The call for nominations has now closed, and the inaugural award recipient will be announced at the next ISAPS Congress.

Who is eligible?

Any ISAPS Member or surgical team led by an ISAPS Member who:

  • Contributed to sustainable capacity-building efforts
  • Or shown sustained dedication to service beyond traditional clinical practice.
