Visa, work permit

Applicants must check visa requirements of the country they plan to visit before applying for the ISAPS Fellowship Program.

Licensure

Fellows will primarily participate as observers. Hands-on participation may be possible depending on the fellow’s qualifications, prior experience, and compliance with Swedish medical regulations, including temporary registration with the relevant authorities.

Transportation

Transport to the clinic is straightforward; depending on your accommodation, Uber is often the most efficient and cost-effective option for daily travel. Bus and train options are also available to both clinic locations.

During a fellowship, the fellow can anticipate observing the following subjects and techniques:

  • Primary and revision breast augmentation
  • Tissue-preserving breast augmentation
  • Breast surgery (breast reduction, breast lift, implant removal)
  • Breast implant safety and long-term follow-up, including ultrasound diagnostics
  • Participation in ongoing clinical research and FDA-related studies

Fellowship Structure:

Fellows participate through an observership model and are involved in:

  • Patient selection and consultation
  • Clinical evaluation and surgical planning
  • Preoperative markings
  • Surgical procedures (observational)
  • Postoperative care and long-term follow-up
