Non-surgical Vaginal Rejuvenation (Vaginal Tightening)

Useful information for patients on Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation procedures

What Is a non-surgical Vaginal Rejuvenation?

A non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation procedure is designed to improve the comfort, moisture, and elasticity of vaginal tissue. It works by boosting the natural production of collagen and elastin, providing a more youthful appearance and improved intercourse sensation. It is done as an office procedure and no anesthetisia is needed.

This treatment is sometimes used to address concerns such as:

  • Vaginal dryness
  • Mild laxity (looseness)
  • Discomfort during intimacy

Common technologies used include:

  • CO₂ laser
  • Erbium laser
  • Radiofrequency (RF) devices

Some clinics may also offer treatments including the “O-Shot,” which involves PRP injections rather than energy-based devices.

Some studies suggest these treatments may improve symptoms like dryness, itching, and discomfort during intercourse for a period (often several months). However, evidence remains mixed on this procedure, and results can vary.

Who Is It For?

Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation may be suitable for patients who:

  • Patients experiencing vaginal dryness or discomfort
  • Mild laxity/looseness
  • Those seeking non-surgical options
  • Want to increase moisture or lubrication
  • Want to increase vaginal sensitivity
  • Facing painful intercourse

Disclaimer: Before choosing non-surgical laser rejuvenation, it is important to know that many of these symptoms, such as dryness, irritation, and painful intercourse, can also be effectively treated with standard medical therapies as well.
