President's E-Magazine: July 2025

Dear ISAPS Community & #ISAPSFamily,

Where to start? There was so much greatness in connecting cultures, sharing knowledge, meeting #ISAPSFamily, and making new friendships and connections during the Olympiad in Singapore that it’s hard to sum it all up in one message … it started with the Opening Ceremony, with inspiring messages from Drs. Sanguan Kunaporn and Jerry O’Daniel set the stage for the next four days of another great gathering of leaders in aesthetics.

The days were filled with immersive learning opportunities, thanks to the Education Council, which carefully and thoughtfully organized the program. I extend a special thanks to the Education Council Chair and Vice Chair, Drs. Andre Auersvald and Ahmad Saad for creating a comprehensive schedule with ‘something for everyone.’

I also enjoyed the Networking Party on Friday! It was great to catch up with many of you at the Gardens by the Bay, which provided a wonderful atmosphere for everyone to get together in a relaxed setting.

We also held our Board of Directors Meeting, where we reviewed essential matters, including planning for the ISAPS Face Masters: Live Anatomy and Surgical Strategy, which will be held in the US next year. It will be led by the world-class ISAPS faculty of global legends and visionary innovators, and I am excited to be involved. Of course, we also discussed our 2026 meeting, the ISAPS World Congress in Cancun! It will mark our 30th World Congress, and it promises to be another esteemed meeting of first-rate leaders in aesthetics. Mark your calendar: October 27-31, 2026!

Glimpses of Singapore

We also celebrated the winners of the APS Journal Awards, and I had the great pleasure of handing out the awards. They included the Foad Nahai Award for Patient Safety and awards for the most downloaded and cited article in the APS Journal. Please congratulate the 2024 winners: Dr. Matilde Tettamanzi, Foad Nahai Award for Patient Safety; Dr. Virginia Marcia Amaral and co-authors, for the most downloaded article; and Dr. Makoto Shiraishi and co-authors for the most cited—check out his interview below! These awards are a great honor and an integral part of our Olympiads. To see all the winners, including the best paper presented by a young surgeon and new presentation awards in all topic tracks and categories, visit the website.

And thank you to all of our ISAPS National Secretaries; their commitment and support are crucial to the success of our Congresses, and their dedication does not go unnoticed. It takes many of us to create a successful and rewarding meeting, and I want to thank everyone for their invaluable support. I look forward to seeing many of you soon and can’t wait to see you in Cancun!
