ISAPS President Dr. Dirk Richter was honored to give the First Ricardo Baroudi Lecture at the World Congress of Plastic Surgeons of Lebanese Descent in Beirut on the 19th of September 2019.

Professor Baroudi, a Lebanese descent who lived and worked in Brazil, was a pioneer in plastic surgery and former ISAPS president from 1995 – 1997.

He sadly passed away in April 2018.

To honor his achievements the Lebanese Societies (Association of Plastic Surgeons of Lebanese Descent, APSLD, and the Lebanese Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, LSPRAS) have introduced this lecture. Dr. Richter dedicated the first Ricardo Baroudi Lecture to safety in body contouring in his sense and in his name.
