Rotterdam, The Netherlands

Seamlessly integrating professional growth with the dynamic charm of Rotterdam, create an ISAPS Fellowship experience where aesthetic surgery excellence meets the modern vibrancy of Dutch culture, a rich maritime heritage and marvellous cutting-edge architecture.

During the aesthetic fellowship in Rotterdam, you will be located at the Velthuis kliniek, which is one of the biggest private clinics in the Netherlands. Dr. Stevens and Dr. van der Meulen use this location as the Dutch centre of their aesthetic practice. The Rotterdam branch of this respected national chain of private clinics is located only a 15 minutes metro ride from the centre of town. Surgeries and consultations fill 5 days each week, with multiple procedures being performed each day.

Clinic Clearance

The Netherlands enforces stringent hygiene regulations for visiting healthcare professionals. Consequently, upon arrival at the Velthuis Kliniek, you must present the following documentation for clearance:

  • Recent proof of Hep B anti-immunity status
  • A TBC clearance, either by Mantoux or by chest X-ray
  • Recent MRSA throat and nose swab results.

These documents must not be older than two weeks before the fellowship begins.

Please note: Failure to provide these documents will result in denial of access to patient-related activities at Velthuis Kliniek. The medical authorities are required to conduct additional swab tests upon the fellow’s arrival, and their participation in the fellowship is contingent upon the results of these tests.

“I learned a great deal on different techniques in facelift surgery, liposuction, lipofilling, regenerative surgery and breast surgery. Both surgeons are unique in their strategy towards high patient satisfaction and excellent results. Their conceptual way of thinking was something new for me and something you will not learn during regular in-hospital rotations. Their willingness to share knowledge on techniques, patient consultation and even business management is truly remarkable.”
