ISAPS and IPRAS

The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

ISAPS was founded in 1970 at the Headquarters of the United Nations in New York City and now includes over 1700 members from 86 countries. Its purpose is to promote scientific and social interchange among all plastic surgeons worldwide, respecting the unique insights and contributions that each culture brings to the overall field..

The Society holds a major international scientific congress every two years, with the next one scheduled for San Francisco, USA, August 15-18, 2010 (ISAPS 20th Congress). It also presents more intimate Postgraduate Courses in aesthetic plastic surgery scattered around the globe. Meetings are listed under Meeting List on the ISAPS website.

Online Application Process:

Applications for active and candidate members are only accepted through our online system. Applicants should enter their demographic and training data into the online form and select 3 qualified active or life members as their sponsors. The system will automatically send each of them a sponsorship form to complete online.

Once the online form is completed, the Executive Office will contact you by email.

Rights and priviledges

Active Members

Active Members shall have all the rights and privileges of the Society, including the right to attend all membership meetings, to vote, to hold office, and to serve on committees of the Society. Active Members are permitted to use the ISAPS logo on any printed materials or websites as long as they remain members of ISAPS in good standing.


Candidate Members

Candidate Members shall have the right to attend all membership meetings, but shall not have the right to vote, to hold office, or to serve on committees of the Society. Candidate Members MAY NOT use the ISAPS logo on any materials such as websites, stationery, or advertising.

Benefits of Membership

Among the benefits of ISAPS membership are:

  • Free subscription to the Society's official journal, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
  • reduced registration fees for Congresses and Courses
  • inclusion in the ISAPS electronic International Roster of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons on the ISAPS website
  • the option to upgrade the website listing with photographic and practice information
  • facilitated visits to the operating rooms of aesthetic master surgeons around the world

In other words: a front row seat to breaking, new developments in international aesthetic plastic surgery. For application, contact your National Secretary, or the Executive Office if there is no National Secretary in your country.

Application Fees

Application fee (non-refundable)

Annual Dues for year of election (refundable if the applicant is not elected to the membership)

US $300.00

Total due for the application

US $400.00

Annual Dues

The current annual dues are US $300 and are payable in full by 31 March of the calendar year. If the dues are not paid by 31 March, an additional US $100 late fee is assessed.

Annual Dues

The current annual dues are US $175 and are payable in full by 31 March of the calendar year. If the dues are not paid by 31 March, an additional US $100 late fee is assessed.
