Video Library
At the Exco September 8, 1974 in Barcelona(99) it was approved to appoint Travelling Professors to serve during the next terms.
AAt the EXCO October 21, 1973, in Miami(52), Ulrich Hinderer suggested a film program and that a Film Library be established. On September 8, 1974(99), at the EXCO meeting in Barcelona, Mario Gonzalez-Ulloa moved that a booklet of films related to Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, should be available to the membership. During his term of office, the booklet was published, including both publications and films by members of the Society.
Although the establishment of a Film Library did not succeed, as films became obsolete, under the Presidency of Benito Vilar-Sancho, the Education Council Chairman Rodolphe Meyer, received from Paule Regnault a number of audio-video tapes and other tapes of the previous Instructional Course in Montreal.
On September 15, 1985, at the EXCO in Madrid(84), Rodolphe Meyer reported on the supply of video tapes when requested by National Secretaries. 14 videos were collected for review and sent thereafter to the new Chairman, Ulrich Hinderer for the new Video-Tape Library to be organized by Juan del Rio in Madrid, for sale of copies. Guidelines for the evaluation of video tapes were suggested by Dr. Trudy Vogt on June 12, 1989. The guidelines were reviewed by Ulrich Hinderer, Trudy Vogt and Juan del Rio in June 1989(92), and incorporated.
From 1985 to 1992, when the Video Library and all master copies were sent from Madrid to Paris, both the number of videos available increased substantially from 14 to 39, as also the income for the Treasury from the sales of videos, confirming the quality of the videos made by outstanding members of the Society. The videos were listed, described and announced in our Congresses and in our Journal "Aesthetic Plastic Surgery".
