ISAPS Instagram Live Event | Empowering Women in Aesthetic Surgery: Accelerating Inclusion Through Professional Development 

On March 8, 2024, we commemorated International Women's Day with our Instagram Live event, Empowering Women in Aesthetic Surgery: Accelerating Inclusion Through Professional Development. It was hosted by ISAPS President Dr. Lina Triana (Colombia), alongside Women Surgeons Committee Chair and Co-Chair, Drs. Fatema Al Subhi (Saudi-Arabia) and Argentina Vidrascu (Romania).

They discussed the challenges encountered by women in the field and explored strategies to overcome them, including addressing unconscious bias and promoting inclusive practices. The event included a review of how ISAPS supports and empowers women surgeons in their careers, fostering self-confidence, and the crucial role of education and mentorship. The event provided valuable insights from the diverse perspectives and experiences of women surgeons across different regions worldwide.
